National survey of healthcare workers on winter 2023 vaccinations
Responses from NHS staff on flu and COVID 'vaccinations'.
Introduction
As part of the evaluation of the Winter 2023 flu and COVID-19 vaccination programme, Public Health Scotland co-produced an online survey with NHS health boards to gather feedback from health and frontline social care staff who were eligible for one or more of these vaccines.
The survey was carried out from 6 February to 5 March 2024 and included questions on attitudes towards the vaccines, experiences of the programme, and suggestions for future service improvements. The survey received 5,036 responses. Around 90% of respondents were from a healthcare background and 10% were from a social care background.
‘'Numbers of excess deaths and cardiac events is extremely concerning. Risk of vaccine is far higher than COVID.’'
