Stuart Gayle KC speaks of 'devastating' care home closures, isolation harms and DNACPR orders. Kirstyn Burke solicitor for Scottish Care on the distress caused by lockdown restrictions.
"While end of of life care has been an integral part of care for older people" I have a problem with this sentence, you do not approach an older person with end of life care first and foremost on your mind. The older person deserves to live out their natural life if they desire. I hear people saying that a respiratory infection is an old persons friend, no it is not, dying from an untreated chest infection is one of the most painful and uncomfortable experiences you can imagine and being older is absolutely not a reason to deprive them of treatment. We have been on a slippery slope with regards involuntary euthanasia in older people for a long time.
Amat I have had pneumonia and can attest to how painful it is fighting for every breath is exhausting, your body is ravaged burning through thousands of calories to keep those lungs going even with medical help.
This is one of the reasons I was so outspoken to those around me straight from the start, they all made excuses of it was right not to overwhelm the NHS which boiled my piss as every sense of my being knew it was never right or excusable to withhold treatments.
The pain and suffering those poor souls must have endured that could have been easily prevented must never go unforgotten. Left to die in pain where you feel you are drowning held under water gasping for every breath and kept isolated away from your loved ones.
Literally how evil and spiteful to do have to be to not only come up with these plans but staff go along carrying them out and then parading yourselves as some sort of heroes. The medical personal turned into monsters doing their masters bidding and the majority have lost faith and trust in them and rightly so.
We've got plenty like those two grubs here in Oz. Long Covid my backside. They're still playing charades that this was a real pandemic. Take out the flu, insert Covid which keeps the game afloat for future interventions. The "judiciary" here might as well be MP'S no standing this, no standing that. They are crapping in their own nest & are completely unaware. You are doing Scotland proud.👍🇦🇺
There was a time when I was the 'go to' man within the family group & then they ALL fell for it & are now too embarrassed to admit it or maybe they still don't get it. I'm trying to stay fit for the grandkids, just in case. The spectrum of damage is incalculable.
Dont let ANY OF THE STAFF OF THESE CARE HOMES GET AWAY. ALL OF THEM SHOULD FACE JAIL TIME FOR ABUSING OLD PEOPLE INTRUSTED IN THEIR CARE. THEY DID WRONG , WHY DIDENT ANYONE OF THEM SPEAK OUT. THEY MUST PAY .HORRIBLE TO TREAT ANYONE LIKE THAT LET ALONE AN OLD PERSON.
Thank you for the summary. I remember when things started really heating up in 2020, in NC the health department was placing Covid positive (I know now that the test was useless) people into nursing homes. I think this occurred everywhere. They used the nursing homes intentionally to conduct these tortuous measures. And since everyone was barred from visiting, it was easy for them to get away with hiding the cause of death, calling all of them Covid. It had to be very well planned. Absolutely tragic. I made a youtube video and wrote a blog article informing people that they had a right to visit the homes and to insist on it. I would have defied the policy if I had a loved one in a home, even if facing arrest.
When Channel 4 posted a preview of their report on the government pandemic plans for care homes, I replied: people will die, this is manslaughter. I wish I’d been wrong.
I actually said that even the Victorians knew and would have had isolation wards before sending people back.
When you look at all the crap people pick up in hospitals mass sending of infected people back into vulnerable homes was a forgone conclusion that they were determined to kill the old off.
I am not ashamed to say that I expelled that anger at/ to those around me who thought this was acceptable along with not allowing the general public at large early treatments.
I always thought I was as thick as pig shit but it turned out to be me pointing at the holes in the stories and our governments behaviour.

Agree and the upcoming ''assisted dying'' bill in Scotland will only further pressurise vulnerable people to end their lives prematurely. Literally death redefined as a treatment. https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(23)01910-4/fulltext

So very well said!
The thing I don't understand is that alot of the alleged actions are potentially criminal in intent.
Where are the police investigation's in this?
That makes me feel better🍻👍
A couple of years back i wrote to the council and asked to be removed from the full time electoral register (this should not be possible).
i stated various reasons such as our democracy is a sham, we no longer have rule of law ,endemic corruption etc.
They didnt rebut a single point but did respond and did as requested.
That quite frankly is terrifying.
And these wankers🇬🇧 bang on about a lack of democracy in countries like Russia👏
Harold Shipman was a rank amateur compared to this lot.

It's great that you're helping by sharing information like this. I will do my best to share it too.
