The old lady who was a holocaust survivor was talking about brain washing, it can convince people to follow orders without questions, no matter how ultimately cruel those orders are, they are committed to doing it for the greater good. She said it can happen to anyone if you are brainwashed enough you could become a "good" SS team player and I believe that. Jonathan Van Tam also reminded me of a good team player, his analogy of the train leaving the station frightened me then and it still does. His folksy, friendly grandfather manner was a front for someone who was on a mission to get as many people as possible to board his "train" and it was of course for the greater good. For me the covid era has answered how Germany accepted the inhumane killing and torture of humans in their own country and most did not question it.
Yes...that particular answer stood out for me about the acceptance of the torture and killing of fellow human beings. Too many were denied the right to live as autonomous beings, under the jackboot of the State. Too many were willing to put those jackboots on to harass people about wearing masks and getting jabbed. Seemingly intelligent amily and/or friends accepted all the lies told by the government and its medical henchmen ( Whitty and Valance and the equally morally corrupt specimen, Hancock), echoed by the supine msm....it left me wondering if I could trust them not to 'inform'. Very like Nazi Germany and the Stasi of East Germany.
Perhaps the positive for these times is the existence of the Internet, new media, from which people do get more unbiased info/ truth than what is broadcast from the rotting 'corpse' of the BBC.
The trouble is it’s just too atrocious and terrifying for the majority of people to hear, especially for those who, mostly unknowingly, played an active part. I’ve always thought that history could so easily repeat itself and this just fills me with sadness and despair because we’re still in the midst of it. How on earth do we move forward?
Alot of this still stuff will be still going on in care homes and hospitals (masks/tests/dodgy jabs) and for many people this is now part of their life as the new normal. One can only truly move forward when prepared to confront the uncomfortable truths as in this video about the true nature of the pandemic. I sadly do not see this happening anytime soon in Scotland. The consensus is we exist to obey any and all government and public health diktats, this must never be challenged....for the greater good.
It is indeed still ongoing, mainly in care homes at present. I might be wrong but I’m concerned that Substack and other relatively uncensored spaces may have become silos where our voices are getting stuck. How do we get the message out to the people who are implementing the policies that caused the harm as you’ve so clearly documented? Front line workers are still being overwhelmed with public health guidance with nothing to balance it or cause them to question the effectiveness of IPC measures so it’s no wonder the situation is ongoing - and set to get worse as winter approaches. I’m emailing a benefit-risk analysis of masks in care homes document directly to care home managers in Scotland but it’s a massive task and even then, it might not get beyond the manager depending on their position. I’m encouraging them to use it as a training tool to reflect on the impact of mask wearing and to report harms under adult support and protection procedures. Perhaps I should add something about the inquiry in the accompanying email? I would love to hear from others about how they think we can get our message out to workers to encourage them to reflect on the detrimental impact of the IPC guidance they’re obliged to follow.
I think if more people took a leaf out of your page Valerie with direct action as you've explained then real change could happen but i don't think enough people are doing this and the main groups representing all the care home relatives in the UK at inquiries don't seem to have any issues with more masks, tests etc in future. All PROVEN harmful for a hypothetical benefit vs some promoted virus particle which is admitted can pass through the mask anyway.
